Arrivederci Roma!

In about 20 minutes we can board. I know I'll be back (I tossed a coin in the Trevi, after all) so I'm not sad; and next time I may even be fluent in Italian!
On another note, I hate Rome Fiumicino. What a confusing mess! Though they earn points for having Armani and Fendi in the terminal...

I agree, Fiumicino has to be one of the worst airports in Europe. It is also the ugliest.

I hated Fiumicino particularly because of its failings to be "user-friendly." For example, my flight was on Continental, which is in Terminal C. But when you get into Terminal C, you walk up and down trying to find Continental's, only to realize that this long security line isn't to get to the gates, but just to get over to the other side of C. Then it said on the monitor Accettazione 336, or whatever the number was, and so everyone starts lining up there only to be told it's only for Business First passengers and we all have to wait on the next line for 337. Oh well. And yes, it's very ugly, particularly the main area and the arrivals area.

"confusing mess"??? sounds just like Italy, the opposite would surprise me... never been to Fiumicino but it's not famous for being a neat relaxing place...

I hate Rome Fiumicino too! But I had to spend over 6 hours there. Or was it 7? Too long.

So 'confusing mess' sounds like Italy? That explains a lot around here then. =D
